“It’s easy to stand in the crowd but it takes courage to stand alone.”
-Mahatma Gandhi
I’ve started, what has now become, a series about life lessons and what I’ve learned as a young adult in this fast pace, ever changing world we live in. The first post titled Keep Your Head Held High set the precedent for this so called “series” that I now refer to these posts as. I also posted Words of Encouragement: A Journey That Never Ends, which I received a lot of positive feedback …

There’s been a part of my sub-conscious lately that, for some odd reason, keeps letting doubt creep into my mind! I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. Let me repeat that just one more time. I hate it! Now that that’s out we’ll move on. Many of you have probably read some of my previous posts so I’m sure you’ve been able to make your own assessment of what kind of person I am (hopefully it’s good). For that reason I’ll save both …

“The vision of a champion is someone who is bent over, drenched in sweat, at the point of exhaustion when no one else is looking.”
I wanted to write something that would motivate those of you who are taking the time to read this post. For many people, the paths we decide to take in life are indirectly dictated by those who surround us. Whether it’s our parents, friends, professors, and co-workers we always think about the consequences and trade-offs in whatever it is we’re trying …

“There’s a difference between interest and commitment. When you’re interested in doing something, you do it only when circumstance permit. When you’re committed to something, you accept no excuses, only results.”
In my last post “Put Two Feet In” I mentioned that we must be quitters at quitting. I will stand by that statement and guard it with my life.
Take a second to reflect on the past. I’ve been doing quite a bit of soul searching and self-reflection lately and realized that I have quit …

I’ve officially worked my first “real” job for 4 weeks now. It hasn’t been the smoothest of rides so far (I’ll explain later). Oh yeah, and did I mention that the pay is commission only as well? The fact that it’s commission only doesn’t bother me. In fact, the job itself is challenging, fun, and discouraging all at the same time. So why the hell would I ever graduate from a respected four year university with my Bachelor’s just to begin my “real life” journey at …

A few years back I saw this quote in a magazine and have had it written down and saved on my computer ever since. I wanted to share it with my readers because over the years it has served me with great motivation and inspiration every time I read through it.
Too often we are scared.
Scared of what we might not be able to do.
Scared of what people might think if we tried.
We let our fears stand in the way of our hopes.
We say no when we want to say yes.
We …

GoDaddy’s Founder and CEO Bob Parsons has a set of 16 rules he follows for success in business and life in general. They’re based off events and his personal experiences throughout life.
For those of you who don’t know what GoDaddy is here’s a little background. GoDaddy is a domain registrar and web hosting company. Today, GoDaddy is the largest ICANN-accredited registrar on the internet.
I stumbled upon Bob Parsons’ blog in 2006 when I was first trying to learn everything there was about the internet. …

When I woke up this morning I checked my emails in my bed with my iPhone (a habit that I’ve developed since getting one). Someone visited my site and used the contact page to send me an email. This morning was the first time, in a while, that I was able to start the day off with a smile on my face. I wanted to write a post about it because I tried emailing this person back, but received a delivery failure. Hopefully Sanath makes another visit and see this …

Would you agree with the statement that there is ALWAYS somebody looking? You probably read that sentence and asked yourself, looking for what? Keep on reading and then figure out whether you agree with the statement or not.
People are always looking. Looking for opportunities. Opportunities to better their financial standing, health, family environment, and of course the list goes on. In business why do you think that companies advertise over and over? Because they want to generate awareness for their product or service as well …
